2011 Legislative Session
The General Assembly convenes in Richmond the second Wednesday of January each year. In even numbered years, the legislature meets for 60 days and in odd-numbered years for 45 days. This year's "short session" will be very active with key initiatives, budget adjustments, and the redistricting process being debated.
